Board of Directors

F. William Conner

A corporate turn-around and Internet security expert, Conner was selected as chairman of the Entrust board of directors in January 2002. He has served as president and chief executive officer of Entrust since April of 2001, and is among the most experienced security and infrastructure executives worldwide.

Conner has served on the Entrust board of directors since 1997 and was chairman of the board from October 1998 to May 2000. Prior to joining Entrust, between 1992 and April 2001, he held various senior executive positions at Nortel Networks, including president of Nortel Enterprise Networks and e-Business Solutions where he successfully turned around the global $5 billion business. Conner also served as president of Nortel's first Enterprise Data Networks line of business, where he orchestrated Nortel's $9 billion acquisition of Bay Networks.

In addition, Conner served as Nortel Networks' first chief marketing officer and spearheaded the integration and alignment of the corporation's strategic communications, branding and marketing, including its global "Come Together" and "What Do You Want The Internet To Be?" marketing campaigns. This work had a dramatic increase in brand recognition and business results. Marketing Computers named him "hi-tech marketer of the year" in 2000. Conner joined Nortel Networks in 1992 from AT&T, where he served in various leadership positions.

Conner currently serves on the board of directors of Travelocity.com. He also serves on the board of visitors of the U.S. Joint Forces Command and keynoted at the Supreme Allied Command SACLANT (NATO) Seminar in Norfolk, Va., in June 2001. Conner previously held board positions with Williams Communications and MATRA Nortel Networks.


Butler C. Derrick, Jr.

Derrick has served on Entrust's board of directors since May 1999. Since August 1998, Derrick has been a partner at the law firm of Powell, Goldstein, Frazer & Murphy LLP, Washington, D.C. From January 1995 to July 1998, Derrick was a partner at the law firm of Williams & Jensen, Washington, D.C. Mr. Derrick served in Congress as a representative from South Carolina from January 1975 to January 1995. Derrick has ties to key congressional decision makers and extensive expertise in the fields of legislative procedure and the congressional budget process.

While in Congress, Derrick was known as a thoughtful and pragmatic member who could work behind the scenes to secure passage of important legislation. His reputation and ability to craft compromises led to his appointment as chief deputy majority whip, the fifth highest-ranking position in the House of Representatives, and vice chairman of the powerful House Rules Committee. Derrick served as chairman of the Budget Committee's Reconciliation Process and served for 12 years on the Democratic Policy Committee; four years on the House Banking Committee; and two years on the Government Relations Committee. In 1977, Derrick was chosen by House Speaker Tip O'Neill to head the first task force on the Budget Act and was recognized by the President in 1993 for his leadership as chairman of the task force charged with getting the historic 1993 tax bill through the House of Representatives.

Derrick currently serves on the Secretary of Energy's Advisory Board, the South Carolina Nuclear Waste Program's Blue Ribbon Advisory Panel and the Department of Energy Task Force on the Evaluation of Nonproliferation Programs with Russia. He is a member of the Washington Institute of Foreign Affairs, the Center for National Policy, the National Trust Council of the National Trust for Historic Preservation and the U.S. Association of Former Members of Congress. Derrick has published numerous articles and reports on nuclear waste and legislative procedures.


Douglas Schloss

Douglas Schloss joined the Entrust board of directors in July 2001. He is the chief executive officer of Rexford Management, Inc., which manages a $500 million investment partnership specializing in transaction arbitrage. Prior to his current role, Schloss managed the equity trading desk and arbitrage investment portfolio of Marcus Schloss & Co., Inc., a broker dealer and formerly a New York Stock Exchange specialist firm. He is also responsible for designing an options analytics software package that was purchased by Reuters PLC and is currently in use on all major option exchanges.

Schloss is currently the chairman of the board of St. Christopher-Ottilie, a $105 million New York City-based social services charity. It is one of the 10 largest social services charities in the United States and the second largest in New York City. Previously, Schloss was the chairman of the board of Family Dynamics for six years, a child abuse prevention program.

He is a graduate of Princeton University with a degree in electrical engineering and computer science. He spent three years as a petroleum engineer with Hamilton Brothers Oil Company prior to receiving his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School in 1985.


Michael P. Ressner

Ressner has been a director of Entrust since May 1999. From January 2001 to December 2002, Ressner served as vice president for Nortel Networks. Prior to that time, he served as vice president of finance of Nortel Networks, Enterprise Solutions group, from February 1999 to January 2001. From May 1994 to January 1999, Ressner served as vice president of finance for the Carrier Solutions business unit of Nortel Networks. Prior to these assignments, he held a number of senior finance management posts within various business units of Nortel Networks. Ressner currently serves on the board of directors of Magellan Health Services, Tekelec, Arsenal Digital Solutions (a private company) and Exide Technologies.


Jerry C. Jones

Jerry C. Jones joined the Entrust board of directors in December 2003. He serves as Acxiom Corporation's business development and legal leader. At Acxiom, he is responsible for the legal team, leads the strategy and execution of mergers and alliances, and assists in other strategic initiatives. Jones came to Acxiom in March 1999 from the Rose Law Firm in Little Rock, Ark., where for 19 years he specialized in problem solving and business litigation. He is a 1980 graduate of the University of Arkansas School of Law, and holds a bachelor's degree in public administration from the University of Arkansas.


Terdema Ussery

Terdema Ussery, who was appointed to the Entrust board of directors in December 2006, has served as the Dallas Mavericks president and CEO since 1996, and was a catalyst in the organization's resurgence, including increased corporate sponsorship, ticket sales, television revenues and community impact under his direction.

The Los Angeles, Calif., native is also the CEO for HDNet and spearheaded the launch of the network, one of the world's first all-high-definition television stations and negotiated the channel's first content and distribution agreements.

A graduate of Princeton, Ussery arrived in Dallas after serving as president of Nike Sports Management in Beaverton, Ore., where he reported to chairman and CEO Phil Knight. Prior to his post at Nike, he also served as commissioner of the Continental Basketball Association (CBA).

A popular speaker who is active in the Dallas-Fort Worth business community, Ussery serves as an alternate governor for the Mavericks on the NBA board of governors, as well as president of the Dallas Mavericks Foundation.

Ussery has a master's degree from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard and a law degree from Cal-Berkeley.


Ray W. Washburne

Ray W. Washburne was appointed to the Entrust board of directors in June 2006. Washburne has been the chairman and CEO of Charter Holdings since 1990, and also serves on the board of directors for the M Crowd Restaurant Group, a company he co-founded in 1991.

In addition, Washburne is a director for Colonial Bank and the Dallas Citizens Council. A 1984 graduate of Southern Methodist University, Washburne currently serves on the school's 21st Century Council and is an adjunct professor at the university's Cox School of Business.

Washburne is also an active member of the Dallas chapter of the Young Presidents' Organization.


Michael E. McGrath

Michael E. McGrath was appointed to the Entrust board of directors in February 2007. McGrath is i2 president and chief executive officer and serves on the company's board of directors. McGrath brings extensive business knowledge to i2 from his background in founding a leading consulting firm and his experience in managing application software companies. He is considered an expert in product strategy, product development and supply chain management. McGrath co-founded Pittiglio Rabin Todd & McGrath (PRTM) in 1976 and served as its president and CEO until his retirement in July 2004. During the last decade, PRTM grew to be one of the larger and most successful management consulting firms in the world. PRTM was acknowledged for its exceptional growth, profitability and high value it added for customers, and it was consistently rated as one of the top three consulting firms for which to work. Since its founding, PRTM was noted for its exceptional focus on client results, demonstrated by its refusal to take consulting projects where it could not deliver significant results for its clients. PRTM provides management consulting services in product development, supply chain and product strategy. While at PRTM, McGrath initiated the company's product development consulting practice and led the effort in refining the Product And Cycle-time Excellence® (PACE) methodology, establishing it as one of the most successful and effective management models of the product development process for technology-based industries.

In 1993, McGrath created the Supply-Chain Operations Reference-model® (SCOR®) to define a standard for the supply-chain management process, which is now managed as an industry standard by the Supply-Chain Council. McGrath founded IDe, a leading provider of integrated software and service solutions for Development Chain Management (DCM), in June 1998, and has served as the company's chairman and product architect. He also serves on the board of trustees of a hospital, college and private school, and is a trustee of the McGrath Foundation, which supports educational and religious institutions. Prior to founding PRTM, McGrath worked at Price Waterhouse & Co., Texas Instruments and McCormack & Dodge, where in 1971 he contributed to the pioneering efforts to create the packaged applications software industry.

McGrath holds a bachelor's degree in computer science and management science from Boston College and a master's degree in business administration from Harvard Business School.


James Dennedy

James Dennedy, age 42, joined the Entrust board of directors in June 2008. Mr. Dennedy is a Principal with Arcadia Capital Advisors, LLC, an investment management company making active investments in public companies.

Mr. Dennedy has more than fifteen years of leadership experience in corporate development and corporate finance with public and private companies in the US and Europe. He has a long history of developing, managing and growing information technology and service companies. Prior to his role with Arcadia, he was President and CEO Engyro Corporation, an enterprise software company offering solutions in systems management. Mr. Dennedy previously served as President, divine Managed Services; Senior VP of Mergers and Acquisitions, divine, Inc.; Executive VP Venture Capital and Private Equity, marchFIRST, Inc.

Mr. Dennedy also serves on the Board of Directors of NaviSite, Inc. (NASDAQ: NAVI),(Audit Committee Chair and Compensation Committee member)and of I-many, Inc. (NASDAQ: IMNY), (Audit Committee member).

Mr. Dennedy earned a BS in Economics from the United States Air Force Academy, an MA in Economics from the University of Colorado and an MBA from Ohio State University. In support of community activities, Mr. Dennedy serves on the Executive Boards of the Economics Department and MIS Department, Williams College of Business, Xavier University.
