Sam Morcos

Senior Vice President, Sales & Services for Canada, Asia Pacific and Latin America

With more than 20 years' experience in responding to high-technology market requirements impacting pricing, branding, new products and services — and nearly 10 years' exposure to Entrust products and customers — Sam Morcos is the ideal individual to drive Entrust revenue.. As the senior vice president of sales and service focused on Canada, Asia Pacific and Latin America, Morcos is responsible for revenue of Entrust products and services that help secure digital identities and information for governments, enterprises and consumers.

Morcos originally joined Entrust in 1997 as director of worldwide channel programs. He was promoted to vice president of Asia Pacific and Latin American sales in 1999. In 2002, Morcos left Entrust to be a part of the new executive team for a previously founder-run startup called Klocwork, Inc. As vice president of worldwide sales, Morcos was responsible for Klocwork's revenue, and helped set and communicate the company strategy and direction. He also participated in raising capital (funds in hand within 60 days of first presentation). During Morcos' tenure, Klocwork revenues quadrupled in 11 months.

In October 2003, Morcos returned to Entrust as vice president of operations in the Asia Pacific region. In February 2005, he became vice president of operations in both Asia Pacific and Latin America. Morcos' proven success and strategic vision contributed to his promotion to senior vice president of sales for Entrust in May 2005. As of January 2006, he took over service teams as the senior vice president of sales and services. In 2007, Morcos moved back to the more regional focus in order to concentrate on developping and growing Entrust revenue in key international regions.

Prior to joining Entrust, Morcos held a variety of positions over his nine-year career at Digital Equipment Corporation.

Sam Morcos holds an M.B.A. in international business and finance from York University, an Master of Science in instrumentation physics from the University of Utah, and a Bachelor of Science in honours applied physics from the University of Waterloo.
