Entrust GetAccess Advantages for E-Authentication
A Web portal is a single doorway for employees, citizens and partners to access digital content, data and services online. Creating a personalized online experience at the portal depends on authenticating your users and then acting according to that individual's assigned role and authority. The Entrust GetAccess solution employs XACML-based policies to enhance role-based access controls (RBAC) and restrict access to portal resources based on context-sensitive policies. A key component of a layered security strategy, Entrust GetAccess software can provide organizations with the ultimate in authentication flexibility by supporting the full platform of multifactor authentication capabilities found in the Entrust IdentityGuard solution. Entrust GetAccess capabilities can provide you with the security, flexibility and performance that are required to personalize the user experience of a Web portal and help you to lower costs and increase productivity.
Identity Federation enables integration of user experience and business process across agency boundaries. The Entrust GetAccess solution provides integral interoperable identity federation capabilities employing SAML 1.1 and SAML 2.0, certified for interoperability by both Liberty Alliance and US GSA e-Auth.
Using Entrust GetAccess, agencies can leverage level 3 or 4 credentials for greater security. Entrust GetAccess is interoperable with the Federal PKI architecture and has been certified by JITC as PKI-interoperable, helping agencies using PKI credentials to leverage that investment.
Web Services can be provided with the Entrust GetAccess solution. The Entrust GetAccess product can be enhanced to respond as a SAML identity, attribute, and authorization authority for SOA through tight integration with Entrust Secure Transaction Provider Identification & Entitlements Servers. When deployed in this configuration, Service Oriented Architectures (SOAs) can leverage the Entrust GetAccess capabilities for centralized authentication, authorization and policy services.
Proven large-scale deployments supporting millions of pages, dozens of applications, hundreds of Web servers, and millions of users have already been achieved with Entrust GetAccess. Entrust GetAccess services can be distributed across any number of servers to speed response times and provide continuous availability for your users.
The Entrust GetAccess solution can be used to implement strong security features, such as centralized session management, FIPS 140-2 validated crypto functions, and multi-domain Single Sign-Off to preserve the security of your life on-line.
