SC Magazine: EMS 9.1 includes 'all the bells and whistles'

In December 2007, SC Magazine, a well-respected IT security publication, bestowed a five-star rating on Entrust Entelligence Messaging Server 9.0. With the launch of version 9.1, the platform continues to impress.

In their June 2008 issue, SC Magazine offered glowing accolades for Entrust Entelligence Messaging Server 9.1. The review not only rated the appliance-based e-mail encryption solution as a five-star product, the platform was given the "SC Recommended" approval — the top honor for a security product.

For the second year in a row, Entrust Entelligence Messaging Server received a five-star overall rating — only one of three vendors to do so — and was hailed as a "fantastic value given the price and feature set. A truly competitive player in the e-mail security space. SC Recommended."

SC Magazine's e-mail security group test, which compared products from five total vendors, evaluated e-mail security solutions on the merits of features, ease of use, performance, documentation, support and value for the money. Competing vendors tested included Tumbleweed, PGP, Cryptzone and Sendmail.

The review referred to Entrust Entelligence Messaging Server as a "product that is flexible and easy to use out of the box. It includes a multitude of encryption options from an enterprise perspective. As one would expect from a more holistic solution, Entrust Entelligence Messaging Server integrates e-mail security with as much transparency to the user as possible."

In addition, SC Magazine said "Performance-wise we were impressed with Entrust's offering. All the bells and whistles from an e-mail security perspective are present within the solution. Automated and seamless e-mail security as well as user controlled encryption are options here, based on the policy of the organisation. Webmail push-and-pull delivery for external recipients, secure PDF delivery and support for DKIM make this a strong solution with many features."
